OverviewAncient 'fer noir' iron protection fetish, altar object of the FON from Benin. Diverse symbols from the Fon cultus with on top the symbol for the God of thunder, Hevioso. Under the arc is an abstract snake, symbolizing harmony. Beautiful colours due to corrosion. Good condition with traces of use and aging.
