Old, tribally used altar statue, BACONGO/YOMBE, D.R. Congo, ~1950
OverviewGREAT! Old, authentic and tribally intensively used altar statue of the BACONGO/YOMBE from the D.R. Congo. This statue has been used intensively in rituals connected to prosperity and an everlasting supply of sufficiently enough food. The feathers on top are the original feathers. Furthermore, residues are visible from ritual use, which have given the statue a beautiful patina of usage. In the belly is also a charge. A separate stand is included in delivery. This special statue is overall in good condition. A small shrinking crack and a few uninhabited holes from woodworms from earlier. Look carefully at the photos!
