OverviewFinely styled hardwood statue of the rice god BULUL, Luzon, Philippines. It plays an important role in the daily life of the community of the Ifugao tribe from the north of the Philippines. Nearly any family has one or more of these statues. Bulul is frequently used in rituals connected to marriage, harvest, etc. With slight traces of use and aging, this statue is in good condition.
