Two DAYAK statues, Borneo, 2nd half 20th century

Two wonderfully sculpted statues of the DAYAK. Sculpted by the same sculptor, high quality!! The feminine statue is somewhat strange. A birth statue. The head of the child is coming out already... Both statues stand out because they are truly brilliantly carved. The left statue is a masculine figure, seated on a long drum. On the back the number 89 is visible, presumably it has something to do with the date.

Height: 16.5 cm and 14.5 cm
Weight: 338 grams, together.
