Large female ancestor statue of the AFO, Nigeria, 1960-70

Powerfully impressive older female ancestor statue from the AFO from Nigeria. Both the posture and the face with a serrated mouth radiate strength. The hairdress has a rudimentary design, which further enhances the powerful appearance of this statue. Varied patina, left arm glued but overall in fair condition.
