Akusan, shell belt vd BONTOC, Luzon, Philippines, 2nd half of the 20th century (no 2)

Beautiful object, this tribal belt intended for women of the BONTOC tribe, neighbors of the Ifugao. Large conical shells with various beautiful patterns, a rolled-up ring of brass (a metal alloy) and cotton fabric. Belts like this are only worn by women. A beautiful decorative object too !!
