Very old PUNAMHAN, ritual sacrificial box, IFUGAO, Philippines, 1900 - 1920

Authentic tribally used object this old sacrificial box called PUNAMHAN from the Ifugao of the island of Luzon in the Philippines. An object that has been used intensively for many decades. The box is made of nara wood and has a beautiful patina due to use and age. Boxes like this are used by a mombaki, a kind of shaman. Take a good look at the photos for the condition, which can be called good considering the age and use.
