OverviewVishwakarma (Vishwakarman, Tvastri) in Hinduism is the architect and craftsman (sculptor, blacksmith, woodworker) of the gods. Vishwakarma is the All-Maker, the One, the creator of the world. He forges the thunderbolts of Indra and the weapons of all the martial gods. Vishvarupa is his son. He is the father-in-law of Vivasvat (Surya, the sun), who married his daughter Sangna (Saranya). Tvastri is associated with the Ribhus, the sons of Sudhanvan, who acquired immortality. They made Indra's chariot and horses and are Tvastri's disciples.
