Older ancestor statue of the MUMUYE, Nigeria, 1960-70

Ancestor statue of the Mumuye completely covered by a sacrificial layer of patina. Small head, long arms, slightly bent, relatively short lower body also with bent legs. Strikingly large navel which is seen as a beauty aspect. The statue is made of a light wood and glued on a foot. See the pictures.
