Old Putali greeting statue, Nepal, mid 20th century

An intriguing statue this beautiful old Putali greeting statue, a so-called Namaskara Mudra statue. You can find these kinds of statues in all sizes all over Nepal. At the entrance of a village, for example, on a bridge and at home at the house altar. Hard wooden statue, chunky but equally very refined, especially in a look. Beautiful patina appropriate to age and use and placed on a custom-made stand that is of course included. See the pictures!
