Older face mask of the IBO, Nigeria, ca 1970
OverviewPowerful yet friendly-looking face mask of the Nigerian Ibo, A dance mask with two large, beautiful horns that give the mask a strong appearance. The face is friendly with a slender nose and a slightly protruding slightly open mouth. The eyes are closed and a notched circle but can be seen through the holes below. The right ear is slightly damaged and a chip is visible on the edge on the right, not disturbing though. Characterful mask in a reasonably good condition!
