Overview

An exceptionally beautiful and large specimen! Mushroom masks use the natural form of tree-parasitic fungi with minimal modifications. Only the openings of the mouth and eyes as well as the nose are the work of the sculptor. They are rarely worn by dancers, but more commonly hung in the house where they acquire a beautiful black patina of soot. This one also has the smell of smoke, which will decrease. This is a remarkably large specimen and an exceptionally beautiful one!! It is formed from the Lingzhi fungus (Ganoderma Lucidem). As mentioned, masks like this are hung in the house and are supposed to protect the residents from evil spirits. Also against the spirits that are responsible for the suddenly rising fog in the Himalaya mountains, the area where these people live. They only occur in eastern Nepal and are quite rare. This special mask is in good condition and has a great appearance!
