Old TUNGNA, string instrument, northern Nepal, early 20th century

Very old used object with a beautiful appearance, this stringed instrument from Tamang in the north of Nepal. The collective name for this type of stringed instrument is sarangi. The name is Tungna. Beautiful deep patina appropriate to use and age. The decorations on the instrument are quite crudely carved. Sometimes they are very refined. An honest, old and intensively used object that is placed on a custom-made standard that is of course included. See the photos for the condition. An authentic object but also beautiful as decoration at home.
