Appealing older decorative mask of the Lega from the DR Congo. Stylistically beautiful mask with a serene facial expression and remnants of kaolin. Masks like this belonged to the Bwami society who were also somewhat the guardians of the social codes of conduct within the tribe. Patina in accordance with age.
