Wooden altar statue, Shiva on horseback, Northern India/Rajasthan, early 20th century
OverviewA lot of soul in this old altar statue. Age and use have given this object a beautiful expression. Shiva on a horse. Such objects are placed on an altar in a temple. A stick is placed at the bottom center of the statue so that it is not taken away. Probably from northern India/Rajastan. Finely carved statue and mounted on a custom metal stand. See the pictures!
