Namaskara Mudra guardian statue from Nepal, ca 1970

Greeting statues and guard statues can be found everywhere in Nepal. There are some style differences per region. They stand at bridges, at the largest tree in the village, in front of a house, at a washing place, etc.

This is a stylistically clean statue. It has been in a freezer for three weeks so that it is free of bugs. It stands without support. (using a few felt pads) See the photos for the condition.
