Beautifully carved festival mask, northern Nepal, approx. 1970

Festival/dance mask from the north of Nepal, crafted with great craftsmanship. Every place has its festivals where a whole range of masks is also reviewed with music and dance. Each region has certain style characteristics and differences. This mask is a fine example of such a festival mask. Beautifully carved face with a lot of depth and expression and a varied patina. Under the chin a large chip which is not disturbing, since you do not see it when you put the mask down. See the pictures. And this one is again razor sharply priced!
