Beautifully carved face mask, Nepal, 2nd half of the 20th century

Striking appearance this face mask from Nepal. The face does not show sharp chisel marks, but rather looks like a skin. Remnants of black and red-brown pigment are visible. On the forehead a 'bindi', dot, symbolizing the third spiritual eye (ajna) for the Hindus. Good condition, see the photos
