Authentic tribally used face mask of the Igbo from Nigeria. Beautifully stitched! razor-sharp facial features as we know them from the Igbo masks. Stylistically pure in the somewhat later style. The rituals within the Igbo culture are still actively practiced. Very expressive mask. Kaolin all over the face and appropriate and obvious traces of age and use. From a Flemish known private collection.
