Strong, refined and characterful Nepalese mask, 1950-60

Highly refined and characterful Nepalese mask. The patterns on the forehead possibly places him within a Hindu spectrum. Very neat mask, see for example the detailed ears and mouth. Convincing patina and some visible oxidation of the wood, which indicates that the mask is also aged. I had it placed on a custom made stand. Never saw a similar one before... See the photos!
