Overview

Chewing the nut of an areca palm is practiced in many places in Asia. This is also the case with the Ifugao. The ingredients for this are stored in these betel nut containers. This is made from the bone of a karbau and covered with finely woven rattan. The cap is made of wood and shows two cups depicting the rice god Bulul. Beautiful object in good condition!
