Hard wooden male statue, AFO, Nigeria, 1920-40

Hard wooden male statue of the Afo people. Although the arms are missing, it is still a stylistically strong statue. Given the patina, the arms must have come off at an early stage. Proud statue with a beautifully shaped face. Deep, correct patina matching with age and use. The statue is also footless and is placed on a double base. See the pictures.
