Fertility doll from the FANTE, Ghana, 2nd half of the 20th century

Endearing object, this fertility doll from Fante. Dolls like these were given to young married girls so that they would have a fruitful marriage. Beautiful deep brown colour, finely crafted and various chains of tiny beads. The backside of the top is decorated with various geometric patterns. Good condition!
