Old LUKWAGONGO mask, Lega, DR Congo, 1940-50

Beautiful appearance, this old decorative Lukwakongo mask of the Lega people from DR Congo. This type of mask was used by the Bwami society, a secret society whose members were concerned with justice, the compliance with social laws and, above all, with matters such as war, for example.
