Lot of three SHANKA Tibetan shells, Nepal, 2nd half of the 20th century

Three Shanka shells partly covered with Tibetan silver (low silver content). The shell represents one of the eight prosperous signs of Tibetan Buddhism. It symbolizes the spread of wisdom and knowledge in the fight against ignorance. The shells are beautifully decorated with floral motifs. Two of the shells have stones, bamboo, coral and turquoise. Length respectively: 15, 12 and 9 cm. The smallest can be used as a pendant and has an eye.
