Very striking festival mask, West Nepal, mid 20th century

An unusual and very striking appearance, this old festival mask from western Nepal. The variety of masks at the many festivals is almost infinite. Sometimes sleek and sober, other times colorful and exuberant. It is a very striking mask with a large nose put on. further. Obvious traces of use and age but still in reasonably good condition!
