Old abstract ancestor statue, TIAMBA, northern Togo, mid-20th century

Strong abstract ancestor statue of the Tiama from northern Togo. The statue is rubbed with red tukula powder, has cowrie shells for eyes, is made of hard wood and shows traces of insect damage. Image is free of bugs and rock hard! Beautiful presence! and quite rare. The statue is placed on a base. See the pictures!
