Old Namaskara Mudra greeting statue, Nepal, early 20th century

Very strong Namaskara Mudra greeting statue this very old statue. Age is always a tricky thing ... how has it been treated. How has the statue been exposed to the elements? .... Greeting statues and guardian statues can be found everywhere in Nepal. On a bridge, by a large tree, a washing place, in or in front of the house ... They come in many different forms where you can sometimes recognize the region by the style. This statue is really far above average, to put it simply. Evident traces of use and age. The statue is free of bugs. To be sure, I have brushed it a few times with colourless lamp oil (kerosene). It also has no smell. See the photos!
