Large heavy female statue of the Montol/Afo from Nigeria, ca 1970

An impressive appearance this very strong statue with the same look of the Montol with some Afo influence from Nigeria. A decorative statue, not tribally used but a beauty! Large in size with its 60 cm and weighs over 5 kilos! The magnificent head immediately stands out. The body is strongly stylistically set and exudes a lot of power. A very beautiful statue that is placed on a foot. The statue was in the gallery of Peter Beaujean at the time priced at € 550.00 !!
