OverviewTribal necklace called Palanpagang. It is a priest's collar, always composed of worked pieces of mother of pearl. This necklace has no less than nine finely worked pieces of mother of pearl. These necklaces are worn by men of the Ifugao tribe and the Kalinga tribe. The pieces of mother of pearl show different colors depending on the angle from which you look at it. Difficult to photograph. Much more beautiful in real life!! The pieces of mother of pearl are sometimes unworked; others carry a single line with fine engraving or multiple lines with a very fine engraving like this one. The cord is made of braided rattan. This necklace is in good condition and comes with a beautiful professional custom-made stand! Authentic object but also beautiful as a decoration.
