Older female statue of the BAULE, Ivory Coast, 1960-70

Beautifully stylized and with a strong appearance, this older decorative statue of the Baule people. Long slender statue with raised scarifications and a beautiful varied patina. The woman holds one hand next to the stomach and the other hand behind the back. Good condition with obvious signs of age. The statue is mounted on a foot. See the pictures!
