Intense tribally used oracle fetish, YAKA, DR Congo, 1920-30

Beautiful old and intensively used oracle fetish from the Yaka people, DR Congo. Old style and dated 1920-30. A fetish used for female fertility. Fur of civet (wild cat). Under these pieces of fur you can see older other fur. So it was renewed while the rituals continued. The lower part is covered with leather. Patina is partly made up of libations.
